Add Tom Lowe to the club. Here's what he had to say:
"I want to thank Jim for putting his trust in me. I'm humbled. Thank you Graeme, Jarred and Brent.
Right now I am reviewing footage I shot this evening at Salton Sea and my jaw is literally on the floor. I shot 96fps 5K full sensor. The amount of detail in these shots is unlike anything I've ever seen. I would say it compares to 65mm 5-perf, but I might be understating how unreal this Epic footage looks to my eyes. And how many people can even shoot 65mm 5-perf at 96 frames per second? None that I know of.
Here's the camera this afternoon. Epic M #188.
The detail is stunning, but when you see 96fps COMBINED with this level of detail and image quality, that's when you realize you are looking at something new and different. 96fps is poetry in motion.
There is so much detail on these shots (which, BTW, proved to me that the Duclos 80-200 is very worthy of 5K), I could actually see these birds taking a crap in mid air.. and shaking the water off themselves. Details I have never seen in any of my footage before. Not even close."

More from Tom:
"Here is a photo of my assistant Dr. Kanab filming on the M. Needless to say, he was very stoked.
Out at the Palm Springs wind turbines.
I have an idea now to put together a nice little 60-second Epic footage video for Vimeo... I just need the weather to cooperate for a couple of days.
Also, two behind-the scenes shots from Salton Sea today. I'm addicted to shooting at 96fps.
It was a beautiful, beautiful morning out at Salton Sea with Epic M. Everything was shot 96fps full sensor. It was a thing of beauty.
Right now I'm just waiting on some beta software from Adobe to handle these Epic files in Premiere, then I am going to cut a short sample film and post it at Vimeo. I might even post a direct 4K download link if anyone is interested?!
Here's a quick framegrab from our shoot this morning. Loving this camera... loving it! "

More still:
"We took one final trip down to Salton Sea this evening with the Epic. It was heavenly.
