Will Red Digital Cinema ship the Red One camera on time (early 2007)?
What is your prediction about how events will transpire? and Why?

Predictions for just Red one?
Or entire Cinema industry?
I think a complete change in the industry is close!
As cameras get smaller and better!
Complete films being downloaded to your home theater produced for $5000.
A total re building of the industry.
Independent cinema, digital delivery,
Places like youtube or myspace becoming film and recording labels.
I think this is finally the beginning of the end of Celluloid.
Perhaps the end of "Block busters" and back to good old American story telling.
youtube offering premium films for $10 a month with real time streaming.
All independent films.
The You tube network, independent film downloads.
(I do not visit either web sites)
I also predict EUR/USD 131.62 by days end. |

Good points... I agree that there could be another golden age of film making on the horizon.
What are your plans? Are you buying / renting a Red One? If so, what projects do you plan on shooting?

Right now I just have a PD-150 and I am shooting Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde in the oldest town in Costa Rica.
If I can make a go of that project then I can get full funding for the next project and buy my own red! |

The Jekyll and Hyde project sounds interesting.
What production resources do you have available there in Costa Rica? Are you shooting all on locations, or do you also have sound stages to work out of?
