RED's Jim Jannard had this to say regarding the upcoming Pro Lenses:

"We have a new design with ultra high resolution with very little breathing (highest standards).

True internal focusing.

32mm image circle for 5k imagery.

24/48 hour warranty repair capability.

Each lens is hand assembled with each element CNC machine matched to mechanicals.

Edge to edge sharpness..

Even transmission center to edge.

Designed around RED camera system/RED OLPF for best performance.

Each lens tested on RED ONE camera for system MTF.

And since talk is cheap... we will bring the lens projector. Seeing it live is something else.

All our Pro lenses cover 32mm and 5K when Scarlet and EPIC S35 sensor is released. The industry standard for 35mm and PL mount is a 30mm image circle."

Jim Jannard had this to say today about the new RED Pro Primes (RPPs):

"After finally getting a new lens projector and reticle that shows full frame 35mm, I am happy to report the the RPP 300mm, 100mm, 85mm and 50mm lenses cover 6K 2:1 on the FF35 with great resolution out to the edges. The 35mm and 25mm will cover about 5.5K on the FF35 sensor.

A little piece of good news for those that took a leap of faith on a set of RPPs."

Some news from RED on the RPPs:

"The modification samples just came in and the change to the mount on the RPP's now fit most traditional 35mm film cameras.

Also the markings have all been updated to T1.8 and we added a red paint-filled focal length marking top and bottom to make it easier to see focal length marks.

A bit of testing to do, then we can turn the machines on and start getting them out the door. Thanks for your patience."
