Can anyone at Red answer this?:
Will RedCine offer a feature that allows to rotate the source images by + or -90 degrees?
With such a feature, one could angle the camera 90 degrees and shoot a subject on a green screen within a certain window in a lower resolution for use with a higher res composite put in later...
If your project was finishing in 4K, for instance, you would be able to shoot certain shots in 2K as long as they fit within the window, which could save time, and $$... This same theory could be applied to shooting in HD for 2K.
All that would be necessary is a rotate function in RedCine. I suppose this could be done further down the work flow, but it would be nice to be able to do this in RedCine.
"Ultra" from Serious Magic (now Adobe) has this as a feature and it can be seen described here:
