In March, I had the pleasure of working as the RED Data Capture Engineer / DIT on a commercial for the new Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT Camera.

I found it ironic that Canon was shooting it's products with RED. Gotta have them looking as good as possible, of course.

I believe the spot is only for Japan, but just in case, I'll keep the details to myself for now.

At last... The Canon EOS spots appear online.

This low-res web version really doesn't do it any justice, but does show proof of Canon shooting RED. These ads are just too funny.

They shot with live animals (monkey and wolf) on blue screen and then had puppets for the arms.
We used Cooke lenses and shot in 4K, 3K, and 2K depending on the framerates desired, which they often used 90 and 120 for smooth arm movement on the puppet during compositing.

I believe there are longer versions of these commercial that will run on air in Japan in HD, but this is all I have found so far:
