Hello amin84,

Welcome to RedCam Central.

The current RED ONE Camera firmware allows for output of the live monitor signal in 720p. Or, if you like, you can have 1080p on playback of clips off the Camera, but not for live monitoring.

A popular downconverter is the AJA HD10MD3 which supports both NTSC and PAL. Here is an article we posted a while back:

We would love to hear more about your project. Where are you located and what type of production is it?

Thanks for reply..

I'm from malaysian local company doing the compositing and special effect movie..

This is the first trail I have seen the format just for RAW footage. So excellent and powerfull..

If i have a digital sony HDV recorder, the redcam can still output on recorder? just plug into firewire or component input?

*sorry bad english...

The RED ONE outputs through HD-SDI (BNC connector) and HDMI.

You recorder would need that type of input or you could use an HD-SDI to Component converter box if your recorder only takes Component.
