Jim Jannard stated online recently that RED will announce the new designs and specs for the upcoming SCARLET and EPIC Cameras on Nov. 13th.

For now, these "teaser" renders were released. Possible the back of EPIC or Back Right of SCARLET.
Maybe just a RED HERRING. (Sorry, couldn't resist). 
More news on Nov. 13th...

Hmmm.... the photo gets me thinking...
Could this be a SCARLET docking / charging station with built in Drive?
The idea is that the bottom cube of SCARLET which houses CF cards (dual 16GB?) plus rechargeable battery is modular and can detach. This would allow you to have multiple media / battery modules and just swap them out as necessary. Or you could just dock the entire SCARLET on the charging / media station.
