Today Apple unveiled the upcoming MacBook Air. While it doesn't have an opticle drive, and uses yet another connector for micro-DVI output, it does have a lot of impressive features, starting with its size, and backlit LED screen quality. Also notable are the integrated Airport Extreme wireless N and Bluetooth, backlit keyboard, integrated iSight Camera, slimmer battery, and new trackpad gestures abilities.
This notebook will be available with an 1.6GHz or 1.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor (This chip was custom-built to fit within the compact dimensions of MacBook Air), 2GB RAM, 80GB HD (or 64GB Solid State Drive), and USB, micro-DVI, and Headphone output.
The price is supposed to start around $1800, but can max out around $3000 with the better proc and SS Drive.
This is a nice addition to the Apple family of products... although, I'd also like to see a touchscreen tablet version at half the size with a slide out keyboard...
