RED and Birger Engineering announced an agreement back at NAB 2007 to develop and market a remotely controllable Canon EOS lens mount for the RED ONE Digital Cinema camera... The prototype of the EOS mount for RED ONE was displayed at the show and is now nearing completion.
This product allows for RED operators to not only use Professional Cinema lenses, such as Zeiss, Angenieux, Cooke, etc, which use the RED's native Positive Lock or PL Mount, but would allow compatibility with the hundreds of types of existing EOS lenses. Focus and iris will be controlled by the RED SuperGrip or a wired or wireless interface designed by Birger.
The Focus control is said to have 4,096 steps (from CF to infinity). An additional LEMO cable is also required. Also available will be a wireless controller with LCD and sliders and knobs for iris and focus.

Reservations are placed with a 20% deposit on a credit card, and are fully refundable prior to the scheduled ship date. The rest of the details are in the form.
