If anyone experiences problems in cold temperatures, there are a couple of notes given out by RED to address technical issues caused by the Camera getting too cold.
Apparently, turning the fan off or putting it into "Silent" mode should help.
Also included are the "Cold Weather" filters (with Cameras 51-100).
They can be found in the box and not installed since they are not needed for normal shooting. They can be attached for cold weather shooting and limit the amount of (cold) air entering the camera.
RED has stated they are also doing more testing in these environments.

This was posted online this morning from Jim Jannard regarding improving the Camera's performance in cold temperatures:
"Our engineers have figured out how to dramatically improve cold weather performance. We are now booting successfully at -20C in the lab. This improvement requires a slight board modification, so all cameras will be delayed about a week to push this through production.
The good news is the community brought it to our attention, we found it, and are fixing it in time before we ship all cameras out the door.
Happy Holidays..."

RED has done some more temperature testing and recently released this information:
"We finished our environmental testing in heat and cold with the new cameras. HOT- 1st warning at 106º F, camera shut itself down at 116º F ambient temperature.
COLD- Camera booted, operated, and recorded at -28º C. That is as cold as we could get the chamber.
Image results from the extreme temperature testing will be posted soon."
notice the smiley.
