This just released by RED's Jarred Land:
"We are known for giving you guys more for nothing.. this time we are taking away.
New technology has afforded us the ability to move to a new heatsink that has the same thermal characteristics in a much lighter package.. saving 1/2 a pound on the weight of the EPIC brain.
These new heatsinks will go into all EPIC-X cameras... and EPIC-M customers will have theirs upgraded, for no charge, when they send the cameras in for the mechanical modifications after the EPIC-X program begins."
Old = 4.50 lbs
New = 3.98 lbs
