"We have just sent out our last batch of emails for the customer sensor upgrade program, which means now you can now order new MX sensor R1's through the RED.com store.

All new MX Red Ones are now built in the USA.

Original "M" Sensor cameras are no longer available unless you have a previous deposit/order in.

"As of today, Sep. 10th, all existing RED ONE owners who are eligible for the MYSTERIUM-X sensor upgrade program have been notified via email. If for some reason, you have NOT received that email, please email mx – at – red – dot – com immediately for program information. As promised, we have held off on selling new RED ONEs with the M-X sensor until all existing customers have been notified that they were eligible for the upgrade. Therefore, as of today, we are no longer accepting new orders for RED ONE with the MYSTERIUM sensor.

That being said, we are now taking orders for new RED ONEs with the MYSTERIUM-X sensor. Beginning Monday, Sep. 13th, we will begin shipping new M-X RED ONEs.

The price for a new RED ONE with the MYSTERIUM-X sensor is $25,000. The price for an upgraded RED ONE was $23,250 ($17,500 plus $5,750) because the M-X upgrade was a special price for existing RED ONE customers. Also, the M-X sensor as part of the M-X sensor upgrade program comes with a 90-day warranty on parts and labor. The new M-X RED ONE comes with a full one-year warranty on all parts.

Note: We expect a heavy spike in the volume of orders now that we are offering new M-X RED ONEs. As prepared as we feel we are, we do expect some additional days of order processing time.

If you do have an order for a RED ONE with M sensor currently in order processing (i.e., you have paid in full and are just awaiting delivery), then you are still eligible for the M-X upgrade program for that camera at the special $5750 price. Depending on how far along your order is in processing, we may be able to have it upgraded to the M-X sensor before it ships. So if you are interested in having your camera’s sensor upgraded, you can talk to your BOMB SQUAD rep asap to try to get that camera over to M-X upgrade facility before it ships. Otherwise, your camera will remain eligible for the M-X and you can coordinate with the M-X upgrade department (mx – at – red – dot – com) when you are ready.

If you have an existing open order for a RED ONE with M sensor in our system that has not yet begun order processing (ie, you have paid your deposit – but have NOT paid the balance due on your order), you have two options. One, you can confirm your RED ONE with M sensor order with your BOMB SQUAD rep and pay the balance due to begin order processing for your RED ONE with M sensor order. This camera will be eligible for the M-X upgrade – but at a price of $7500 (normal M-X sensor replacement charge).

Second option, you can cancel your order for your RED ONE with an M sensor with your BOMB SQUAD rep and place an order for a new RED ONE with the MYSTERIUM-X sensor (again, for $25,000). If you choose to switch to a RED ONE with a MYSTERIUM-X sensor, you will be assigned a new serial number. You will soon receive an email with this information as well…

If you have already taken delivery of a RED ONE with M sensor that is eligible for the M-X upgrade, then you can still send that camera in for the M-X upgrade program. No changes here, simply coordinate with your assigned M-X upgrade BOMB SQUAD rep."
