Announced from the NAB show floor Monday morning, the group from 4KFest made the following announcements as also reflected on their website:

"We are very excited and proud to announce, 4K FEST, the world’s first ever 4K short content digital movie festival. Right now we are taking submissions for any project shot on the RED that is under 15 minutes. We are currently accepting submissions in the following genres, including short narrative, short documentary, extreme sports/stunts, fashion/art and music video. To judge the first submissions, we created an online voting system to narrow down the finalists. To choose the winners, 4K FEST has assembled an impressive panel of judges including Dean Devlin of TNT's "Leverage", Mark L. Pederson, CTO/Co-Founder OFFHOLLYWOOD, with many more to be announced. Our first festival will take place this summer 2011 in Los Angeles. Final dates and location TBA."
